Wild Rhubarb

You must know where to look for wild rhubarb. Walking along the busy street, cars whizzing by, no real hope for the suffocated earth beneath the road. The bitter beauty awaits in darkened edges of sun-starved trails, seeking no one’s approval, the wild man enjoys the bitterness, preferring edges of the surface under the cultivated variety……admiring the dance of the green darner…..flashing emerald wings in a self-created universe, taking aim at the fly about to depart his piece of rhubarb pie, just another picnic….in the park. 06/22/11 7:19pm © All Rights Reserved

Like the way you describe how the rhubarb grows in dark areas, Jimbo. Had to laugh at the pesky fly though. As you say, "just another picnic in the park." (I'll have my slice inside, please.) LOL Love, Carolyn
