Wild Orchid
Wild Orchid
I found her drooping, drenched
amongst the rocks and weeds.
I stroked her moistened face and
wiped away the glistening tears.
Beneath my grazing hands
she stirred – a glow of warmth
spread o’er her lustrous skin:
petal by petal she bloomed.
