Wild Kissing Turkeys of the Serengeti
If you should ever come to visit me
I want you to be ready,
For the view that I have right outside my room
of the plains of the Serengeti.
From my window I can view
some of nature’s most exotic creatures,
A sampling that it seems is so unique
each comes with special features.
Today from my window I can see
a herd that’s kind of quirky,
The rare and sometimes impetuous
Giant Kissing Turkey.
Never turn your back on these gobblers
while here on nature trips,
Or you’re liable to get one planted on you
by big, soft turkey lips.
Sometimes they kiss quite good
you might even say they’re savory,
But I think it could be even better
with just a hint of turkey gravy.
