Wild Birds

No pretty coloured feathers I always dress in black To some I’m a bad omen so sad folk often think that I have the largest bird brain I mate for life - my chicks come back They help bring up my family so happy they do that So don’t be scared ~ just stop a while Your face I will remember but don't be cruel for as a rule I will seek you out and hunt for you from January to December

They are such intelligent creatures! I like having them around my rural abode to keep down insects and pests. I am pleased you highlighted their "good" side. :)

Thank you so much Linda. Yes crows are indeed intelligent birds and as I wrote in my poem they have the largest brain... I have a lot of crows near me and they are fascinating to watch. With kindest thoughts Ann xx
