Wicked Heart

Wicked beat
She’s all the light in my foggy mornings
My day is never complete
Without a gleeful embrace and those over-dyed ringlets
She is sunshine wrapped in black and camo
And I am lost
What am I to do with this wicked heart of mine
To feel these things and be so unseen
She just fell into my life
With interests and opinions alike to mine
And eyes the will never fall upon me
But I shall follow always
With a tray of cookies and a bag full of books
And a wicked, wicked heart
A cruel and masochistic heart
A wicked, wicked heart
Full of love
