Wicked Generation
The word makes sense to those who see sense
senseless to those who senseless so see it
so in the beginning there was the word and with the word was God and God was the word
With Him everything was made and without Him nothing was that is
The word searches our hearts in persuit for resting place
But our hearts are hardened, darkened by the evil one
We persue our course with breathing fires
We lock our hearts and swallow the keys
like pharaoh our hearts are hardened
We find happiness in disguising things
We judge others but all we want is to be exalted
We forget our creator and our role on earth
We think it's good till it gets real, nothing seems good till something gets real
We compete in sin and call it fame
We disguise the lord and call it fun
We ignore the word and call that YOLO
We kill for revenge and call it justice
We defile our bodies and forget it's the Lord's temple
We glorify immorality and crucify those who wait on the Lord
We weaver and weaver and call that salvation
We clothe our outside but are naked inside
We clean our outside but rotting in the inside
We love the world and can do anything for fun
We spent time in darkness but want a single day of limelight
light has come into the world but we like darkness
we love God but with our lips
We speak of hope that is on the hook
no more light at the end of the tunnel
We bathe in hopes
like a lady Bathed in the afterglow of the morning sun in the beach
We only value what is dear to the flesh..
Loving God with edit of mind
But deny is just deny
We thrive in sin and it's a way of life
Oooh evil generation
haunted and ruled by the Evil one
ooh daughters and sons of Jezebel
oooh dwellers of Sodoma and Gomorrah
Sons and daughters of the world
don't u see this tower has fire ignited on ground floors
don't u see this wrath of the Lord
Don't u read what happened in Nineveh during the times of Jonah
Come back to Him and he will make us anew
Like a hen gathers her chicks and protects them under her wings
like a mother never forgets her breastfeeding child
like a king who finds compassion on his servants,
We shall be In God
Then wait upon Him
Waiting upon God means honouring God
Honouring God means pleasing God
Pleasing God means presenting our best to God
Presenting our best to God means not finding rest till we find a resting place for God, this means unacceptance of lives challenges for He will have a way out for us
