Notes About The Poem

Inspired by Panagiota Romios' poem, Inhale Dreams Slowly, posted 08/01/2020...

Why Would I Follow the Crowd

Why would I follow the crowd
Does it know where it's going

I'd rather steer my own ship
   Than do the thankless rowing

Outstanding thought, Gershon. In so many things these days crowds are like a flock of aimless sheep heading to perilous ends. I prefer to march to my own drum. Bob

Me, too... even if I limp along, and the 'drum' is more like a faucet that drips... lol. Thanks, Bob ~ gw

I think crowds just follow the crowds and shout out what the people are saying in front, however, some of all this (when it was peaceful) was necessary, the time for change has come, just unfortunate it all happened during this horrid pandemic..which maybe was a major contributor. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

I've just read that the 40-and-unders now outnumber the 41's-and-overs in the USA. That portends changes, should the young generations' wokeness translate into votes for their kind of candidates. So far, that hasn't really happened. But we'll see. Thanks, Jennifer! :) gw

Gershon, sorry I was unable to respond Last night. Wow...that's profound, deep. You have the knack of saying things so succintly. I am more like a whirling dervish-)) Good job. Pangie xx

Hey, all your 'whirling' made it easy for me to sit back and take aim. You did the spade work; I just cleaned up... The 'A Team!' LOL ~ Mr. T thrice removed (at least)
