Why Should I Fear Death

Why should I fear death? Did I ever fear my birth? From unknown I had dropped Like a star from constellations Unremembered... Naked! Treasure-less! Helpless…! Whatsoever I got I got here; Whatsoever I spent I spent here… How many pots I had been eating from Have broken…? How many wells and streams I had been drinking from Have dried up...? How many clothes I had been wearing Have torn…? Hadn't all my residing places Temporary...? Gold and silver and precious stones Had been for stage-performances Once the ballet was done They were undone… Uncertainty had been my asset That will be when I die as well... Why should I fear? I am saving for me Treasures of goodness - Pure thoughts Kind words Good deeds... These will come with me, Though nothing I might Tangibly carry When passing from This life to the other... 08 October 2022

Indeed it is as you say, Chris, death is a mere breeze, a transition just like waking to sleeping to waking, polarity rotating, waiting for us to awake
