Why Should I Be Ashamed?

I'm free
Free to worship.
Free to give You the honor,
Glory and the praise.
Why should I be ashamed?
Ashamed to magnify Your Holy Name
when You brought me a mighty long way.
A forgiving God.
My only God.
You know me
Better than I know myself.
Through all my committed sins,
You forgave me.
When everybody else turned their backs,
You were there to see me through.
You know of all the struggles my family has gone through.
While others see and judge,
You see and bless.
There were times when I didn't think You heard my prayers;
Not only did You show up;
You showed out.
Some things weren't meant to be.
So You took away,
Only to bless me with something better.
I have no reason to not give You the praise.
Therefore, I'm not ashamed.
