Why Not Sprinklers
I walked on the damp grass
Bare foot.
The sprinklers shooting
And giving.
A sight of running
Through them and Im
Alive.
I thought sidened friends and
You.
For If we ever dipped,
we should have dove.
You turned back at the grassy ridge.
Forward came only in dragging.
But I saw the light reflect rainbows.
I saw it all , u never bothered
To even peer. I was silly.
I wanted to carry you through sprinklers
And watch rainbows.
But you ran,
on sneakers,
the other way.
