Why Me, Lord?

Why Me, Lord?

Why do I have such great pain in my life,
  with numerous problems?
It seems that whenever I turn around,
my physical frailties keep attacking me.
My strength is waning.  I just don't know how
to cope any longer.  I need Your help!
I'm complaining, Lord.  Please help me to see
why all of these things must happen.
I try to accept my cross every day,
but I've reached a point and need understanding.
Does anyone else ever feel such fear,
and ask You for help like I am now?
They do, Lord?  Well, of course they do!
I know You hear me.  I must not doubt it!
For I'm not really hungry, helpless, or poor,
and I'm much wiser now since I talked to You.
I have all of my limbs and faculties so far.
My children love me, and my husband is faithful.
So I should not be asking the question "Why?",
but thanking You, Lord, for Your answer!

Congratulations with this. I think this was a honest down to earth talk that you can see anyone have with God.

It seems we all cry out to God, when we are having pain...asking for the answers in our frail moments! A honest look at ourselves in this poem. Well done. Congratulations on your win! ~ Carrie
