Why Is That

When asked the question, why do I doubt God's existence, it's not easy to answer without offense. I've been taught my whole life that God is good, and He loves me! If that is true, why don't I feel loved, and why is there suffering? Which God should I pray to? There are so many to choose from. Why is that? Man is so desirous of obtaining unconditional love He wanders from God to God; continually creating new religions while designating all prior beliefs as heresy, and exiling them to the realms of myth and fantasy. What is God, if not Man's escape from reality? It doesn't matter what name we assign to our Deity. Mythology and history are full of Gods; time has reduced to fiction. What of Anu, Quetzalcoatl, Hathor, Amun-Ra, Zeus, Apollo, and Ares the list goes on and on, each one a God in their own right! Believers, just as devout as any Christian today, died and killed for those Gods and so many more. The Judeo-Christian faiths vested in Western culture are not alone! They only account for 31% of Earth's 7.3 billion people what about the other 69%? Are they all heretics doomed to Hell? God exists in the human psyche to explain; who am I, where did I come from, where will I go, what do I seek? I don't doubt there is a need for a philosophical, physiological God that will attempt to answer those questions. But, a spiritual Supreme Being God; well, to me, He doesn't exist, though my opinion may well differ from yours.
