Why Is Eternal God Eternal Father
We revere Eternal God as Eternal Father of all
B’coz He is the creator
Lovingly for His creatures
Jesus, Eternal Son of Eternal God
Taught us furthermore to regard His Eternal Father as our Father
To address Him as “our Eternal Father”
Several pre-Christian religions
Had the divine title Eternal Father
Even before Jesus
Istraelites addressed Eternal God as their Eternal Father (Deut 32:6, Mal 2:10)
Realizing that He is also like a mother (Is 6:13)
In human experience, Father and mother stand for origin and authority for what is protective and supportive
Jesus Christ shows us what Eternal God the Eternal Father is really like:
He who has seen me has seen the Eternal Father (Jn 14:9)
