Why I Write

I write...

to touch
to inspire
to motivate
to influence

because it's my passion and escape
because it's liberating and therapeutic
because it gives me joy and satisfaction
because I love to create and compete in contests

It's never for the sake of writing
I have to feel a jolt of inspiration! 
 And I do feel a tingle down my spine
whenever a poem of mine resonates... 

with people...or just one individual.
