Laughter is the best medicine Jan Better than any chemotherapy And your poetry is filled with humour And what better way to fight cancer than sticks 2 fingers up at it and say do your worst At least i'll die laughing not with you but in your face And i'll always have the last laugh

Jan I’ve been a long time fan and I love this piece of work. I’m in the minor league but I could use your input on some of my love poems. I’m trying but I just can’t stop writing about love Thanks

My father and my husband both had cancer. my dad stayed with us, it is a life changing event - very sad to see them slip, but thank God there are survivors, my father passed on but my husband beat it.. We were blessed. I have been writing poetry, but off and on since I was 14 but was persuaded to join a poetry site, and I found poetry soup, I am very thankful, and that is when I started writing a lot of poems. Hugs and blessings Jan. Jennifer

When you get cancer, it is the WHOLE family like when you get a marriage or a new baby, only more like when you get a pandemic but just in your own family.

I despise cancer, it has brought so much agony. Yet from the scare your family endured, you have admirably found a positive outlet that not only offers you expression, but brings joy to so many. Not happy you had to endure that dark season, but very happy with the outcome. Glad you wrote and shared this powerful little piece. Hugs ~ John

I wrote the poem when i was all alone, I felt vulnerable and scared in the accommodation, all I needed was someone to talk to, give me a hug. I had no support from my family as my father forbade me to tell mum ... and as for my sister the least said about her the better:-( hugs jan xx
