Why I Loved Carolyn's Haiku Poem: Fallen Foliage

Deep in Nature's woods Battle scars of weathered life Silently descend _ Carolyn Devonshire I would read this splendid Haiku of Carolyn many many times but like a favourite precious jewel, this GEM will never fade and will never fail to mesmerise me every time. Carolyn, "deep in nature's woods", your story shall dwell. The wildflowers and emerald trees shall whisper your name in perpetuity. As "battle scars of weathered life silently descend", the rustling auburn leaves shall dance to woods' symphony~ only for you. And when dusk hides the day, the birds shall sing your favourite song. 25 August 2021 For Celebrating Carolyn's Poetry: An Uncontest Poetry Contest Sponsored by Andrea Dietrich
