Why I Choose Not to be a Balloon

Of all the devices and doo-dads
                   on this crazy planet
I’d never choose to be a balloon

              For you simply cannot top
their odds of being popped ~
or of landing successfully on the moon

I’d rather be a hammer than a nail…yet between nail and balloon…who wins? I think you know…

Yes, pondering the pending potential of choosing balloons is unbearable - more so in a room also full of kids.

Hmm. 'pending potential?' No wonder kids call me an 'old phogey.'

Lol this is too funny! Haha! I would never choose to be a balloon too, as I fear heights, especially a helium one, would be awful. Thank you for the smiles ~ Sending you light always dear GW

Looks as if 'balloon' is really striking out with Poetry Soup members.

Or getting hung up in a tree, longing to be free.

There you go. That certainly happens too often, doesn't it?
