Why Do You Crucify Me?
I done nothing wrong—just breathe, just be,
Walk my own path, live quietly.
One day at a time, no schemes, no fight,
Yet you cast your cold vendetta in the night.
You whisper lies to badge and law,
Paint me a villain with a crooked jaw.
Try to run me out, erase my name,
But I’ve done no crime, I bear no shame.
This town is mine as much as yours,
I’ve walked its streets, I’ve opened doors.
I’ve planted roots in this sacred ground,
So why do you try to tear me down?
You glare through curtains, spit my name,
Twist my truth into a game.
You call the cops with tales untrue,
But justice isn’t meant for just a few.
I’ve seen the sunrise from the edge of despair,
Felt the cold silence when no one would care.
Yet I rise, like the wind through the trees,
Unseen but strong, carried by peace.
You crucify me with your fear and pride,
But I won’t shrink, I won’t hide.
I am the shadow you tried to erase,
But shadows stretch—they find their place.
I am the voice that won’t be hushed,
The pulse beneath your quiet hush.
I am the mirror you won’t face,
The truth you buried in disgrace.
Don’t lie about me—don’t twist the truth,
Don’t poison hearts, don’t rob my youth.
I am not your enemy, not your fear,
I’m just a soul who longs to stay here.
Accept me now, let hatred cease,
Let fractured streets be paved with peace.
Rise to the stars, hand in hand,
Let our town shine across the land.
Let it stand on the highest mount,
Where every voice and life will count.
Don’t hate me—see me, let me be,
And together, we’ll rise above the sea.
Above the stars, beyond the pain,
Where love and truth and hope remain.
So I ask you now, with dignity—
Why do you crucify me?
