Why Do We Assume

Some girls should learn to be modest,
Some Boys should learn not to eat with their eyes.
Some Women should learn to hold their tongues,
Some Men should learn not to use or cheat,
Some People should stay innocent as long as they can,
Some And others should not corrupt them.
Some Parents shouldn’t hurt their children,
Some Children shouldn’t speak foul to their parents,
Some People on the front lines shouldn’t abuse their power,
Some People shouldn’t take them for granted.

The sad truth is,
That no one can be perfect,
But,
There are people in this broken world
Who are modest, who control themselves.
Sadly everyone makes assumptions,
Regardless of what it might be,
it will more than likely be hurtful.
