Why Do We

Why Do We Stand Aside When We See Someone in Need
Is it Hard for Our Hearts to Understand or Our Eyes to Believe
That its One of Our Kind That Needs a Lending Hand
Being That it Might Be a Homeless Person or One Who Fought for the Freedom of this Land
Why Do We Stand Aside When Someone Struggles or Falls down
Is it Hard for Us to Reach out to Them and Lift Them off the Ground
Just an Offer of a Hand Can Bring a Smile to a Face That Endures Unlimited Sadness
Knowing in this Life Not Every One Has Experience the Meaning of Happiness
Why Do We Stand Aside When Someone Is Assaulted or Bullied for No Reason
Is it Hard for Us to React Cause Our Hearts Are as Cold as the Winter Season
Just One Split Second Can Change the Direction of the Full Intent of What Was to Be
So Just Remember If May be Someone You Don't Know or maybe You or Me
Why Do We Stand Aside and Be Judgmental to
 Others Who Differ from Us
Is it Hard to Put Away the Hate So Love and Understanding Can Turn into Trust
Instead of Stares and Whispers That Can Destroy Ones
 Emotions and Feelings
We Should Understand We to Go Through Life Changing
 Uncontrolled Dealings
Why Do We Stand Aside I Guess We Will Never Understand
That We Are All of Gods Children That Live upon His Promise Land
