Why Do I Pretend To Let You In?
Why do you think
Think those words
Get me primed
And ready for you?
Why do you say
Say lies and hope
That laying next
To me will improve
Where your chances
Fall?
Why do you feel
Feel the need to
Sweet talk
When we both know
You're false?
Why do you go
Go on as if it's a
Song
These are broken tunes
You sing out of key
Why do you notice
Notice all the wrong
Things
And assume I mean
The best?
Why do I answer
Answer your calls
It's too early
It's too late
And still let it happen
Why?
