Why Can'T We Just Get Along.
They killed my father,my mother
my brother my son
We started it first,
they say
For them its retaliation
but come what may
Why can't we all just get along?
War continues unabated
Nobody wins
both sides lose
no one calls a truce
the battle rages on.
Send in more troops
Spread them far and wide
Corner the enemy
in a rushing tide
of semi-automatics and bombs
occupy others in erecting tombs.
is that what it takes?
Why can't we just get along?
When life is over
and you stand before God
what wil your answer be
to.......... What have you done my son?
I sent souls to thy Kingdom?
Be careful what you think
Be careful what you say
Be careful what you do
'Cause your life's review
will be all about you.
Please just try to get along.
