Why

Lover forgiven
             for she knows not what she wants;
                   does not want me. Why?

Dear, dear Phil, Namasthe to you, Sir. The fact so many have lost the Beloved they adored, may point to Jesus and His rejection by Nazarenes, his own people, at first His siblings ... then denied by Peter thrice. Not to be trite, I too have suffered such rejection. When I forgave what seemed impossible, I identified more & more with my Savior. Forgive my rambling here ... Shalom & Namasthe (John 9 has a great story!)

I could not help rate this a "7" for the many emotions it evoked in reading it. Liked you forgiving her. Adored your quote from the Cross of Calvary. And u gave me homework: pondering "Why," for you and when He used it. Shalom Poet Phil. AD

Thanks Anil, many people can relate to those feelings and the constant question of why someone does something. I was raised Catholic so that quote certainly stuck in my head and heart. Namaste

She does not deserve you Phil,I sense that you are a good person, She did not know what she wanted in a relationship it is herloss not yours. You can do better. Let me know if you want to talk. A 7

Yes Pashang, she did not love me the way I did. Your poem "Love Is" refers to a different kind of love ~ a spiritual love; I enjoyed it very much...a 7.

I had thought I had lost "The One" until I met "The Other One" and now I have loved her for 23 years. Still it is normal to ask the question "Why". A thought provoking Senryu.

not everybody gets answer to this question, people come and people go, sometimes its fortunate and sometimes its unfortunate...sometimes you love someone so much and still they leave at the end, people say you'll meet the right person, then I wonder how much that person was loved, who else could be the right person?...maybe destiny's got a much perfect love ahead. An excellent senryu there Phil, nice write.

Thank you white sage for your thoughtful expressions about love and writing; the one I describe here was sent by destiny, we were perfect but only for a short time. Time is the real thief here. Namaste.

kind of sad and melancholy about how so much love goes unseen by those we wish to give it to. Good job. I hope this isn;t a true piece for you right no. I hope you find or found the love you desire

Thanks Bonnie but this kind of sadness cannot be breached; although her love is gone and I have tried to move on when you find "the one", second place feels like defeat. Namaste.

A very honest and revealing poem, Victor. I've been there before, brother, on that rejection list. Just means someone w/a more compatible soul is out there waiting to connect w/you. Love the senryu though. Love and peace to you.
