Why

whispering softly
as time slips away
looking for meaning
a reason to stay

lost in a memory
torn by a dream
wishing tomorrow
was all that you deem

finding no answers
within empty thought
taking and giving
and living distraught

never a question
without rationale
no simple expression
while living in hell
