Why

why couldnt you be there
and show that you truly do care
your supposed to be my father
and im supposed to be your daughter 
you was never there when i needed you
and now it makes my whole world blue
its never going to be like it should
and that will never be good
you're making promises that you may not keep
and im going to have to take a leap
i know you will let me down
and make me feel like a clown
i needed you there when i was little 
but now my heart is all brittle
i want to give you a chance 
but that means id be in a trance
i cant forgive you for what you did
i was just a little kid
why couldnt you be there 
and show you truly care
