Why

Why?

In this darkened tunnel, to the golden door of happines we wander;
Indecisive, wanting all things perfect, unable to breakaway and pleading for changes.
Being not willing to stand firm, afraid of losing the love of one who actually cares not for you or self.
When it is past time to move on, remember who will be there for you in sickness and in health.
Who will love you unconditionally when there is nothing left for the taking.
When the taking is gone, the other will move on not willing to help, leaving you alone and scared, in this darkened tunnel, only a step away from happiness.
Wake up, wake up from this dark, dank place of inertia.
Take that step to happiness, walk through that golden door, leave behind those who love you not and only take little bits and pieces of you until your bones picked clean.
Leave them to wander in their selfish daze for they will never wake up to take responsibliity for themselves. even baby birds must be pushed out to learn to fly on their own.
Will you wake in early morn until the day you die, scratching in the dark, for a worm to feed one who could but will not feed himself?
Laughing at you behind your back because they think your too blind to see how they can manipulate and take from you so easily.
Foul lies of love spu from their mouths, deceiving not those in the light looking back through the golden door.
Break the bonds and chains that hold you down in this darkened rut; even if you stumble through the door to find your true love there, years of happiness await as you leave the past behind.
No other can choose for you.
Why do you let them
