Who's Calling

The doorbell rings
It's you, so "Hi"
My friend I love
To pass time by..

We sit and chat
I realize
I'm lost in wonder
You hypnotize

Friends can be
Not judging or cruel
We rant but sometimes then -
Laugh like fools

We disagree
And moan a bit
But that's the fun of chat -
And chit

I'm glad we hug
To say goodbye
So happy to be myself
And never shy

I feel complete
I can't say why
I Just loving being
With you so much, I cry.

Thankyou dear friend
And neighbor, so sweet
I am so grateful
That we did meet

The stars aligned
It's weirdly true
No substitute for
A friend like you.
