Who'Ll Stop the Pain?

Pain.....
Never-ending.....
Pain.....
Driving me insane....
I'm not referring,
To the emotional, the mental
Agonies we're all inflicted with...
I'm talkin' about physical misery,
Non-ending torture of the body,
Where sleep alone
is the only relief,
And sleep somehow,
seems taken away by a thief
Where walking is a challenge,
or even breathing, for that matter, too
And you have no medicine to help,
Seems there's nothing you can do...
And you wonder why God has
so inflicted you,
For sins in this or another life?
The answer you'll never get,
Just shooting pains as sharp as a knife

No wonder people do drugs...
Though they don't comfort me,
All I want is a pain free hour,
To let my body be.
