Who Would Have Known

8/15/12
A hope, a light within a spike Of darkness dropping slowly Aching for the lonely, yet happily I find myself spinning with you In a world of my own—childhood blooming Laughing and twisting, Climbing and falling, You’re a beautiful light that has revealed this place to me In only a moment, you have led me to peace I ached for the feeling for so long And you nourished me with honesty and happiness We stumbled together dizzily Surrounded by children beaming with us—giggling Pushing them round and round So they can visit the world of their own too I close my eyes and spin once more You laugh as I go out of control You laugh and I scream But then I laugh too :) And when you spin I laugh just as hard And help you up when you clumsily fall What an adorable, honest light you turned out to be! Who would have known we would be here? Who would have known I could make you laugh? Who would have known I could find you in this world? I suppose God had a plan I saw you and somehow I knew, You were more than what they say I will never forget our day And I will certainly never forget you 8)

And now I must go. But this has been very pleasurable. You let me think about something really quite unusual that I have missed for a while. I think I was with the light about 20 years ago--maybe 15. I'll never forget it. Hey--later!

Lights are very good things. Very significant to find one. I had one once for a few days. I didn't really know what it was, and when I figured it out--it disappeared. But it is always with me and has become an almost imperceptible beacon illuminating the world with good. I just can't see it any more and only become aware of it when I think about it very hard. In the beginning, when I found it, it was always there. This is the absolute truth, and your poem has helped me remember it. Thanks
