Who was she?
She was just the wind
An everyday occurrence
Somebody too busy in the dream world
Unknown to life's currents
She liked to dance all by herself
She heard nature like we never did
She smiled at unsung melodies
In a world of chaos she refused to stay fixed
A little boat just sailing away
She didn't know her destination
But preferred not to stay
There was something she wanted to let out
A little note in her writing
Maybe she wanted to be heard
In a world not used to listening
She felt her entire existence on a page
Words were her safe space
And phrases intimate to her heart
There she didn't have to hide her scars
Why did she just burden herself
The world let her down
She was left alone to make amends
She would disappear for days
Then turn up just fine
Everyone failed to notice her absence
Just like they undermined her shine
Maybe we took her for granted
We assumed she would always be there
Our shoulder to cry on
When she didn't have anybody to hold on
She got nothing you know
From caring too much or loving too much
She still chose it each day
She always kept on a smile
Nobody knew of the pain underneath
She kept it at bay
She didn't want the stars
Didn't care for unopened doors
Whatever might be the situation
She would just say I can handle more
Have we known her at all
She's more than a messy bun
More than a pretentious know it all
She doesn't want to climb too high
Just to fall
Her eyes say the same old thing
They have cried for hours
And stayed awake for nights
No strength is left to fight
What did she want to say
What was she searching for throughout
A gust of wind not limited by the sky
A present not for this world to find out
She wonders who she's really
An actual person
Or just a collapsed story
