- Who Owns the Gold -

I gazed at a rainbow so bright and lovely in the distance
                 I wonder .... is there gold at the end of the rainbow
               Here I sit at my window and admire its beautiful colors
                        If it is .... gold at the end of the rainbow ....
                                  Who put all their gold there

The meaning of "gold" goes beyond metal in a poet's mind. The gold at the end of the rainbow reminds me of the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden--a mystery!
