Who Do You Trust

Who do you trust? The boy was seven. He thought for a long time. He shook his head ‘no’. No one? She asked. He barely nodded yes. What about your mother? She asked. After a longer time He looked up. Glared pure hatred toward her. Shook his head 'no'. Shutting down completely now.

Wow, that was sad and a little scary. When your child doesn't trust you there is definitely something wrong.

I have seen this more times that I would ever like to mention. I am an elementary school counselor, and I have seen this in five-year-olds.
