Who Do I Work For

Confusion ahead
As I lay in my bed
Pondering over thoughts
Which make me choke
Am I stuck in the cement of life
Of rules, idiocrasies and strife
Rules are put in place to create boundaries
But boundaries were created over the centuries
So does that make them right?
Why are we under the spotlight?
Under rule from monarchy
Or so the government say
With their forceful demands
Forcing castles to be built on the sands
The country is ready to fall
Remind me again, Who do I work for?
