Notes About The Poem

Who am I feeding?

On tiptoe chipmunks feast happily.
I refill yet again the empty birdfeeder.
Are birds getting their share?

I was feeding the birds once, replenishing their feeders and my children kept knocking on the window and motioning. A tiny squirrel had dashed into a small box next to my foot, and was patiently waiting for me to leave - about 2 foot from me. I thought of this instantly although it happened thirty years ago.

Nice, Line. I know what you mean, we have the same problem with squirrels. // Barry

Chipmunks seem so much cuter than squirrels but everyone's gotta eat. LOL
