Who Am I

I am someone…
Or so they say
But who are they at all?
To dictate me and everyone
To bring us up with every day
Then make us wither in the fall

Oh who are they
To build this wall
That cuts off every road?

Oh, who are they?
To peer into my soul
And change my essence, like an actor does with roles

For they are everyone
They that bring this change in me
So then... who am I?
I am no one.

I am only her
And she is me
But the two of us together,
Who are we?

I wonder the same thing. Perhaps "they" don't know who they are either. Great poem. :-)
