Who Am I

I am one
nation under God

I am many
ethnicities together in a melting pot
blending to encompass positive traits
     Finding strength in diversity

I am all
about freedom
to escape tyranny
immigrants sought my New World promises

I am few
times startled like a deer in headlights
blindfolded even after 9/11
     but still carrying a torch

I am
Lady Justice and Lady Liberty
the dreams of founding fathers
promises of yesterday and hopes for tomorrow

I think America is called of God to be great Carolyn. But has somewhat lost her way and brotherly love must be rekindled. I've had a vision of being an instrument toward that end. Agape, Moses

We do live in a wonderful and diverse society, Carolyn. A melting pot of nationalities and personalities. A place to learn and grow intellecturally and emotionally. We are a country where many choices abound and we are blessed to be able to make choices, within the law, from our diverse nation. Excellent write, Carolyn. XOXOX
