Who Am I
Who am I to think I could be right for you
For I am only just a man
If nothing that I think is true
Why would I make a plan
Who am I but a bundle of nerves
I am wound up so tight
You cannot see the curves
Through my twisted sight
Life is like a bowl of cherries
Sometimes its the pits
Though my voice yes it carries
Who am I that causes these fits
Who am I and where am I from
I come from a place so filled with confusion
It just makes me feel dumb
Or is it all just illusion
Who am I that is filled with such hate
Built up so much the seams want to burst
I held it so long that it busted the crate
It hurt me so much I need to be nursed
Why my friends are not many
Who am I but a man
Not better than any
And the area I span
Who am I to think I’m a captain or leader
A captain can be thanked by the people he saves
Myself I am nothing more than a reader
Can you save a sinking ship from beneath the waves
Who am I when there is nothing left of me
For I am not nor can I be myself
If I cannot be myself then there is nothing of me
Tell me where can I find myself
Who can I be if this is the end
What can I do if I am to finish
Will you please tell me my friend
Is it time for me to perish
