Who

I sometimes read things that I’ve written

and wonder who I’ve been

and if the man it seems I am

has been my best

and was that really me?

And if I had another chance

to do things better

could I?

Or would I
 
only be that man it seems I am.

Thanks, Heidi. I appreciate your comments. I just read another very lovely poem of yours called On the Terrace. But guess what? You did it again - line 2. Please don't think I'm some kind of spelling obsessive. If I ever come across any more I won't say anything. You would be convinced I go looking for them.
