White Silvery Moon
Came a white silvery moon
Against a black starry sky
Rising at the water’s edge
Reflecting in ripples below.
Invoking feelings of peace
Inspiring romantic songs
It pulls on the oceans as
It moves round the earth.
Once worshiped and feared
By ancient cultures of old
It went thru its phases as
We watched it come and go.
Then we walked on its surface
Analyzed the rock and dust
Thus destroying the mystery
Of our white silvery moon.
