White Roses Like Brothers
The second white rose of summer
Has appeared on our rose bush,
Smaller than the first… like little
And big brothers dancing
In warming late spring breezes
They seem to relish raindrops when
They come and splash upon their
White petals in breezes blowing
And dance upon their sprigs,
Awaiting more roses’ bloom.
I just can’t wait until our tree
Has blossomed all its roses…
What a day that will be to see
All those roses swaying
On our beautiful rose tree.
