Whistling a Song

Whatever is wrong
  with whistling a song
every day at work, all year long

It's like nodding your head to the beat
when at school in your seat
    you've no intention to cheat

Or shoveling snow with a spoon
  humming a merry tune
who cares if it takes 'til June

But the world says you'd better not
you might start to smoke pot
and all of that other rot

Good rhyming, but I'm going to keep humming.

As I've said, I am a song-writer: Time for a shower, Caren. lol Prance away!

Face life always whistling a song in sorrow and joy. Never bother if the world is friendly or hostile....

Thank you for the smiles received from this amusing rhyme, Gershon. The third verse is my absolute favorite, though. :0

Hello! Gershon, I like how lively the poem is. Very well written. A burned-out mind is incapable of creating. Blessings ~ Debra
