Whispers of Light

I was in darkness, terrified, trying to find my way I could see nothing but black, no sign of day There was nothing below me, yet I stumbled over my own feet I fell to my knees and cried, thinking Satan had me beat I screamed, "God! Why won't you rescue me?" I heard him say, "Do you not have faith to believe you can see?" My heart sank and a tear trickled slowly down my face "I thought I did, Lord. I guess you should let me die in this place." I heard God smile, and he he said he loved me even though I forgot that in this world, we reap what we sow Then I stood up straight and saw whispers of light I ran to the Master, he had given me sight 02.10.14 Carson Searcy

Great message Carson! Well delivered! I like the conversational manner in the poem - it helps the reader see both sides such that one is very aware of the struggle and how much the light meant in the end. Well penned!

Hi Carson, I like the wake up call. At one point in time, it took me a long time before I found my way. Darkness did me no good. Love the whispers from the light. A very pleasing poem. Thank you for the hello. SKAT
