Whispers Guide Me


Whispers of my soul,
Guide me through this night,
A hidden diamond shines whole,
In this inner fight.

Light dances on my dreams,
Stars twinkle in my eyes,
The spirit gleams and beams,
As dawn begins to rise.

Will this day contain
All the magic of my prime
Though the old body remains
Can the brain reveal the rhyme

I missed seeing this as POTD. This is so heartwarming. Despite old age,we have dreams and the inner light gleams promising that we haven't lost everything of our youth. As long as there is room in our mind for new hopes, new days of sunlight will dawn. Congratulations on your honor, dear Sara.

Dear Sara, Congrats on POTD. Earlier this year, my hard drive failed, resulting in the loss of a significant amount of information. Although some of it was recoverable, much of it is lost forever. Thank you, Daniel, for sharing your information about loss when a computer crashes. If I could get into my old Microsoft account, then I could recover some of my information, but I could not find my account information needed. All it my fault but age and lack of knowledge is partly the blame. Sara K

Dearest Sara, you truly are a guiding light, and I feel so blessed being here in your presence. Your thoughts are so beautiful and they caress softly around my heart. Just letting you know that even a website such as this can crash. If proper backups aren't in place, poems can be lost. Many things can go wrong. I save all my work on a word document and then save it on a flash drive. If my computer crashes, all is safe on that flash drive. My best to you, my sweet friend. :) Hugs, Brandy

Brandy, I never learned to do all of that so when my computer died, all died with it because I could not remember my passwords to get back into my Microsoft account. I got a computer repair shop man to come to try to help me and between he and I we got this new computer to the point where I can get to some things. There are so many safeguards now to keep someone from stealing an account that if you can't remember or have not written down all passwords and backed up things, well, we know the rest of the story. Wow, my computer crashed about a year ago. This poem makes much more sense with the intro and picture. I feel ya'. I'm glad you were able to share and store your poems here at the Soup. Congrats and as always, thanks for sharing.
