WHISPERED TREATIES

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ silent snowfall drifts~ each flake dissolves on my tongue like whispered treaties. the war drums thaw into streams where children skip rope, laughing.

Would love to believe that spring is right around the corner... but we will need to muster our share of patience to plow through winter.

I agree...I'm already looking for signs of spring.....our daffodils are a tad confused and are slowly emerging.
