Whispered In the Wind

The wind whispered to me a secret I could not share,
I carried it around hidden in my memories,
time moved on and the secret distorted in content,
I wondered often if it was real or imagined.

I sat on a mountain not at its peak for I was weary,
the wind blew from the North chilling these old bones,
I saw the golden eagle as she sought her prey,
and i recalled with clarity those secret words.

Once the wind whispered to me a secret I could not share,
I carried it around hidden deep in my heart and mind,
time grows short and I know God seeks me to depart,
the gates of heaven lay open and with me my secret.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
