Whisper of Light
There is a soft, gentle light
Which inspires my heart and life
To reach beyond my doubts
Toward the dreams that I have
Deep within my soul, always alive
Dancing to the fires that reside
In my spirit, alight with desire
To discover the inspiration
That comes from going beyond
Walls built by fear and discouragement
There is a whisper of grace
Peppering my muse with purity
Arising from knowing true love
Coming down to us from God above
Enlightening and stirring up the passion
Swathed in hues of sweet sensations
Which melt away the hardened edges
Of one who knows prayer is always
Welcome, wiling to sooth away pain
And silence the fear that disheartens
There is a friend who lives in heaven
Who knows our worst grief and anguish
He listens to the pleas from His children
With a open ear and readiness to give
Answers which comfort the worst hurt
Easing all twinges of sadness with the
Joy that comes from His spirit’s guidance
The wisdom of knowing Him fosters love
That lives through any amount of weariness
And wakens the heart to true acceptance
