Whisper

gold wheat gathered
red wine bottled
rocking by
the crackling fire
heart
starts a song
at a name it recalls
snow tears
on city lights
falling
a whisper
once loved
through cracks
in the door
starts beat
of a heart
now drumming
restless and torn
by rosebud crumb
once in green meadow
now in a mall
moonlight
curtained
by strobe lights
frenzy
gadgets to distance
romancing
four seasons dimmed
by two dark emotions
summer red anger
hubris ice silence
easter bells ringing
joy of forgiving
grace melting
heart
to tearing
breaking new day
spring bright colors
meadows in flower
new rose bud love

Very well written Frances. This poem feels a bit lonely to me but winter does that to me. You have expressed this well.

It made me feel a chill in the air just by reading it. Impressive.
