Whisper

I've heard it said a whisper
Is a secret from the heart
A hidden truth, without restraints
Where all the romance starts

It can also be a heartache
A broken tale of love
A gentle breeze that tells us
What someone's thinking of

Sometimes it's a memory
Of a day that we hold dear
A thoughtful word of comfort
Or a long forgotten fear

It's not about the volume
It's about what's wrapped inside
Words that's hold some purpose
Or things that we need to hide

A whisper can be most anything
Whatever we choose it to be
A breath of air with meaning
Or a secret we set free

Wow, this is beautiful, Larry. Indeed, a whisper can be "whatever we choose." Very nicely written with great meter, rhyme and meaning. Love, Carolyn
