Whirlwind of Desire
Like a whirling dervish he blew into my life
full and fire and desire
a love of life that was contagious
with the smile and laughter, open as a prairie sky
quick to blow into a storm
yet gentle as a summer breeze
he consumed my heart and left me wanting more
the whirlwind of desire blowing freely through my long hair
making his will my own
till we became so tangled in love
that his consuming fires turned towards me
and together we whirl across the prairie lands
consumed in each other
and the whirlwind of our desire.
