While You'Re Away

Tears sting my eyes as Im missin' you
I'm strengthened only by all we've been thru
Do my best not to let our girls see me cry
Tears me up each time I have to tell you goodbye
I know I can't ask you to stay
Yet I'm still learnin' to cope while you're away

The empty house doesn't always feel like home
The bed doesn't fit while I lie here alone
I day dream of your arms wrapped gently around me
I fall silent when you call home in attempt to hide the pain I dont want you to see
I know I can't ask you to stay
Yet I'm still learnin' to cope while you're away

I know that you're only away to do the best you can
I do all I can to show love and appreciation for my incredible man
 Yet I'm still missin' you
Strengthened only by all we've been thru

So I hung your picture above our bed
I take a deep breath to calm my head
I pray often to the good lord above
I ask him frequently to strengthen our love
All while Im secretly wishin' you could stay right here
Losin' you to the road being my biggest fear
